New feature: Card Mastery
Card mastery was added today. Summed up it works like this:
- Card Mastery (CM) is connected to your profile.
- CM is 100% cosmetic and has always ZERO effect on gameplay.
- Seeing these cosmetics can be totally disabled by you as a player if you for some reason enjoy vanilla.
-
Each card earns XP when its played.
- More XP on a win.
- Even more XP when winning all 3 lanes.
- XP can never be lost from a card.
-
Max card mastery level: 100, (but stats keep tracking beyond that for fun).
- Currently and on average this means it takes ≈675 matches (if 50% win ratio) to max a card to lvl 100. This can easily be tweaked from textfile (locally)
- Win screen expands downwar showing which cards earned, how much, and their new XP/level
- Dev tool: set a card to level X, or grant Y XP
-
The card mastery track grants you rewards each 5 levels or so. Rewards can i.e. be any of the following
- Card frames
- Cute or meme stickers to plaster on your cards front
- Alterantive card art
- Parts of card art overlapping the card frame
- Pimping card effects, sometimes unique to that card only
- Sound effects for that particular card
- Player titles, for your profile
- Alternative appearance for the NRG/ATK container
- < More to come? >
- Game allows us to define each mastery track in detail for every card.
- RNG: Game makes it possible to let us make the mastery track randomise or semi-randomise in what order its mastery rewards are unlocked for that cards.
-
The “big” mastery rewards will let you select 1 of 2 or 1 of 3 rewards.
- What is not select will not be available layter on in the mastery track: This makes the selections actually mean something, however little.
- What was not selected and what is “gone” can still easily be obtained by trade with other players. . [This is a feat. yet to come when trading is in place]
While the system/code is there already for all of the above, the actual visuals/rewards are not there yet. They will come after the cards are done with their real artwork et.c.
